Hi. I know I'm setting myself up for public ridicule here, but get this: I like Daphne & Celeste.

I don't like their music, Ooh Stick You and Schools Out both suck (and as you can imagine, I've never heard their album). But... I think that they are cool. They deserve respect.

"What for?" I hear you ask.

Well, consider this. They know that they are a crappy kiddies band. But they did a set at Castle Donnington for the Monsters Of Rock concert. They sung Ooh Stick You. Can you imagine it? Fifty thousand hard rock fans dressed in leather and metal, throwing whatever they could get their hands on at the teeny-bopper duo.

They finished the song. They stuck with it through to the end, when they walked off stage covered in food and drink. Gutsy, or what?

Then there is their website. It's crap, but they both have little "About Us" pages, and their answers to "What is your new years resolution" made me laugh:

Daphne: To give up drinking Diet Coke

Celeste: To start listening to Westlife

"How's it going?"

Daphne: Down to ten cans a day, do you think I can get sponsorship?

Celeste: No chance, I'm into Outkast now.

And just in case you got here from that footer, Daphne is 18 and Celeste is 17.
